...since i last posted & I actually forgot i even had a blog until my niece started one... she's off to London for a year, lots of fun, I'm sure ;)

My etsy shop has been closed since before summer because i've been too busy with school myself to tend to it... if Autumn brings yarn time, i may reopen, but there are 17 weeks left of externship, so maybe not... time will tell.

The most interesting thing that has happened this summer so far, is on June 19, we woke to find a sea turtle nest on the beach... check my flickr pages for more, or just watch the slideshow over there ->

The color scheme is Black, Hot Pink & Bright Green... fun colors, so i had to dive right in there!

We left the beach about a week ago.
I'm hoping they can hold on til the end of the month to hatch... of course they must hatch when i'm there with camera ready!

Rats, i was hoping it had been june 2 for the turtles, not July! That way, the hatching would be soon. Looks like we're going to miss it, as we only have another week down here :(

Sea Turtle Tracks July 2

This week was so exciting! A mama sea turtle laid eggs on the beach right in front of my parent's house. While i was not thrilled to be awakened so early, I was glad for the chance to get some great pics before the tide rolled in to cover the evidence.

With summer pretty much here (Florida), my new obsession is with sea creatures, especially the sea jellies.

This is the 2nd one, the first having been appropriated by my daughter (it was orange, she couldn't help herself).

I have updated my personal cheat sheet to Postal rates for packages. It makes sense to me & here's hoping others can find it useful, too.

My Crochet Jacket

I love this jacket! A couple years ago, I bought the Crochet a Day Calendar & this idea was the only thing that I found of interest in the whole 365 days of patterns in there!
It took me a long time (past the season to wear it) & some big buck$ of yarn (after all it was for me & not for resale- I'm worth it!).
I really enjoyed working on it- it feels so good, but it is VERY heavy!

hmmm... excessive use of exclamation points... perhaps a little too exuberant over this garment.

Starting birdhouse gourds for the spring. Next will come flipflops & watering cans.

This was my favorite gourd... it sold at a show last year.

It's a lovely day here in Florida. I should probably be doing yardwork. I'm simply too addicted to etsy & all things computer these days to get much accomplished.

I did finish the custom order of fingerless mitts last night... now to work on other things... Think Spring!

It's been since October (4 months, whoa) since I created this blog... then I forgot about it... then I found it but couldn't sign in!
Guess I haven't had much to say.

Chugging along, I have managed to do well with the fingerless mitts in my Etsy store. Etsy does keep me rather busy.... now to figure out how to get the etsy mini over here....

My daughter is now blogging at school, so I figure I'd better catch up.

Look down at the bottom of page for the Etsy Mini ( a small sample from my shop). How cool is that! The items are even clickable! I'm psyched! (Can you tell?)
